As I’ve mentioned before, the weddings I seem to get the most nervous for are those that I know the couple and consider my peers . . . such as Deanna and Matt. I went to college with Deanna at Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, MN, which is where Matt grew up. While I didn’t know Matt in college, as anyone who attended a small town college will attest, I still knew his name and felt like I knew him since he was a Marshall guy. I fell in love with their sweet story of slowing pursuing each other and the details of their day at the Water Street Inn in Stillwater. None of us anticipated sub-freezing temps for the first weekend of October, but the ladies braved the chill and everything came together beautifully! That even included the surprise serenade toast at the reception . . .
Deanna, What a beautiful wedding! and what a beautiful bride! I am so happy for you! May God bless you and your new husband and may you have many many happy years together! Just remember to take time out for each other……schedule a date each week no matter how busy your lives get. Kathy Orthaus
