Sunday was profound. Forty eight hours have passed since it began and I am still identifying moments that I haven’t processed yet. This is what transpires at Making Things Happen though, although I’m biased and think that our Phoenix group delved further than socially acceptable. There was once a room full of 13 women who were ultimately unknown to each other. Within five minutes I think we all knew in our hearts that there was no turning back, nor would surface level contribution be accepted.
Break through. What an odd phrase. What a lacking phrase to describe realizations with life changing impacts. God moved through 13 women to project greatness onto the attendees. For 10 hours we laughed, cried and shared, of ourselves, about each other, offering encouragement.
Clearly this is before I even started to speak. The tissue hasn’t been used. I was a basketcase. Apologies extended to everyone. :)
Words can’t convey the challenges, sweet words and tears extended, but action however will.
You will see changes, both professional and personal, as a result of the vulnerability exhibited by myself and my new friends this weekend. There is no way to escape an experience with such definition unaffected.
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart for sharing your’s.
Leah, it was so great to meet you and get to know you in such a short time. I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you. Great things lie ahead for you. Just keep truckin’!
